Hey guys, im planning to assemble a new build using these listed components:

CPU I7 8700K
Cooler NZXT Kraken X52 240mm
Mobo MSI Z370 Tomahawk
RAM G.Skill TridentZ F4-3000C15D-16GTZR (16Gbs)
GPU STRIX-GTX1080-A8G-GAMING
Storage 960 Evo 500Gb M.2 , 2TB Seagate
Case Corsair 570x
PSU Corsair RM750I 750W 80+ Gold

I would like to overclock this cpu until it reaches comfortable temps

Is this power supply enough to run the system with an overclock? Also is this a recommended PSU for this system?

This will be my first time overclocking so any tips would be appreciated!

Any other tips for improving the build would also be appreciated!

Thankyou :)

For ram, you should be able to find 3200 version in similar price range, get 3200 :)

For the case, you may want to add 1-3 more case fans (2 top, 1 rear):

Case specs says:
Cooling System
120mm Fans
Front: 3 x 120mm or 2 x 140mm fan (3 x 120mm RGB LED fan Included)

Top: 2 x 120 / 140mm fan

Rear: 1 x 120mm fan

Just had a look and 3200 ram is only $20 AUD more so ill get that. I will purchase more fans for the system aswell, thankyou for the advice.

Is the ram i chosen what you mean??

sorry OP for using this topic because i'm kinda interested in similar build,

I just want to ask, can the kraken x52 (240mm) provide enough cooling for 8700k or does it have to be 280mm (or 360mm) cooler?

From my understanding it should be enough cooling for the CPU, only reason i don't have a x62 (280mm) is due to the case not supporting top mounted 280's and if i mount in the front i will have to sacrifice the RGB fans.

Yeah the ram is dual channel. Thankyou for the advice :)
