New Build. Advice?

I'm torn between getting an X99 system with the i7 - 5820k. Or building a Skylake system with the i7-6700k. They are both similarly priced, I will be suing the PC for rendering videos, gaming and general use. I already have a GTX 960 so I'm sorted there.

So should I get a Skylake build with all it's new features on the CPU and Motherboard? Or an X99 build with a 6 core cpu for that extra horsepower? If it helps, I'm not looking to upgrade this pc for a good few years either.

Thanks in advance.

Solution
For rendering, the x99 is pretty decisively better, and everything else is a push or close.

Read this http://www.kitguru.net/components/cpu/luke-hill/intel-core-i7-6700k-i5-6600k-skylake-cpu-review/ The i7 5820K is compared to the new CPUs and is generally better.

Do you think it will last a while, 4-5 years without an upgrade?

Thanks :)
