Hello, second build nightmare last night. Got everything all hooked up, and motherboard wouldn't post. Went through a bunch of tests to make sure it wasn't my PSU or MB and then finally figured out it was my dam case button that was the problem...
Went to install windows 10 that I purchased in dvd form.
Hooked up my old dvd drive and windows would not install. At first it spent over an 30 minutes saying it was collecting data, and then just reset itself back to the product key screen. Where my product key refused to work. Now when I start up my pc it won't let me go to boot menu, but when I press eject on the dvd drive, it automatically takes me to a boot menu, but won't recognize the media in the dvd drive.
So now I'm going to create a windows 10 install from a USB stick cuz im tired of dealing with this old optical drive. Can anyone give me a guide on how to create this USB?
Also any other responses that may help my failing DVD install would help.
