Hi, I'm sheepishly asking for help as I've run into problems with a build I was doing.

I've had no problems actually putting the PC together but when it came to turning it on for the first time I get “disk boot failure, insert system disk and press enter“ Now, I've read this is normal; I've checked the bios to check the settings are correct and that it's booting from the disk drive and not the HDD. Ive also reset CMOS as some forums threads suggested to no avail. I'm wondering if perhaps it's an issue with the disk drive rather than anything else, does this sound likely? It's the only part of the build that isn't brand new. I've checked and checked again that all the cables are fitted correctly.

If it helps I'm using a gigabyte 78lmt-usb3 motherboard.
I appreciate any help you can give, thanks.

I was able to boot windows via USB eventually so have been able to work it around this way. It seems like the disk drive can read but is slow so I will most likely be replacing this too.
