New build drivers and fail code 43

Hi
Ive just finished my first ever build and happy with it. But when i loaded win10 on i dont think its updated properly. It wont show the correct time, the nvidia drivers wont install properly and keeps trying to reinstall the same one and every now and then when attempting to install it black screens and i have to reset. Also it wont recognise my monitor properly so not getting the rez i want.
Im stuck at a loose end. Ive tried uninstalling drivers and starting again, tried older ones as well.

Win10
Asus gene viii
I5 6600k
16gb ram
Gtx 780 (i know, is last bit that needs upgrading)
Aoc 2560x1080

make sure in the bios the cmos chip is fine and the battery is fine and is holding the data and time.

Improve system stability.
make sure you have the last bios file.

install the newest intel chipset drivers and mei drivers.
in the bios make sure primany display set to peg/pci not auto and muilt monitor is off. on the nvida issue download the newest drivers do a custom install. click on clean/remove old driver to fix the black scree nhang.

I have installed the newest bios and gone onto asus site and done the cpu drives too. I dont the custom install and clean install but still nothing. It comes up saying to finish updates restart but nothing happens when i do. Frustrating is understatement at the moment haha
