Hi, its been 2 years and i am back with a bigger budget and a wider imagination.

I have chosen the parts below to fit my £2,000 budget. Really i am looking for feedback on parts and if there is anything you would change.

Approximate Purchase Date: October

Budget Range: £2,000

System Usage from Most to Least Important: Gaming (Arma 3)

Parts Not Required: Keyboard, mouse, headset, monitors

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Scan is the closest shop, although i don't mind ordering online from reputable sources.

Country: UK

Parts Preferences: Intel CPU and Nvidia GPU

Overclocking: Not straight away but in the future

SLI or Crossfire: I like the idea of 2 graphics cards so yes.

Monitor Resolution: Currently 2x 1920x1080 - Will be purchasing a third after christmas most likely.

Additional Comments: Many thanks.

So is that what you would go for?

After looking online it seems that the performance upgrade isnt worth it compared to the 4690k? it takes me over budget and i promised myself i would be strict haha

it is not a worthwhile upgrade (skylake) to justify the difference in price (since u need different socket mobo and ddr4). The DDR4 does not make a noticeable difference in gaming to justify the high price tag. Here is an alternative that goes slightly over budget but keeps most of your choices. Also added a wireless adapter - not sure if you plan on using Ethernet cable or not.

since its not an upgrade but a new build skylake is my choice

not that the cpu is much faster than the previous generation--but because the new motherboards offer more

do you actually need 2 980ti as they are using half your budget

my choice of m2 ssd samsung sm951 all day long or pci-e ssd intel 750 all day long as well
