Country of Origin: USA

Parts Preferences: None anymore

Overclocking: Maybe (later)

SLI or Crossfire: Yes

Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080

Additional Comments: Going to use windows 7. I want to run this machine at stock to start with and overclock later.

Future upgrades: Geting 2nd monitor.

CPU: Intel Core i5-760 Lynnfield 2.8GHz 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1156 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80605I5760
I'm thinking this will be good enough for gaming about anything on. I was thinking of going with a socket 1366 though for future upgrades. Not worth it?

Motherboard: No idea.
I guess I'm looking for a p55 since I wanna SLI? Also would like USB 3 on it. If you suggest one can you please explain why you would pick it over the others? So many boards now >.<

Ram: Was going to pick after I picked Mobo.

Video Card: I'm thinking duel GTX 470. But if I can get a single card that will be close in price and power and then SLI it later I'm cool with that.

Power Supply: Waiting on rest of the parts.

Case: I'm not into anything fancy. My cases just sit there. Though paying for cooling is fine. I also don't need a big guy.

For such a healthy budget just go with the fastest GPU on a single PCB in the planet namely Hemlock HD 5970 and when the music gets too slow just swap out to the next gen bang for buck single GPU solution

Eh, 5970 makes no sense at this point with the 6K series so close to launch (days).

And that's not the fastest GPU on the planet, that would be the 5970 black edition for 1000$ (/sarcasm, no one buys 5970s anyway).

I think this week its only the 6850 and 6870 thats coming out, i dont think they'll effect the 5970 much if at all. I think the rest of the series which will be the 69xx will come out later near the end of the year which will hopefully push 5970 prices.
