Hi all,

I'm building a pc for uni and I use it mainly for photoshop, illustrator and AutoCAD. I have the following build put together but it's $400 over my budget.

I7 3770K 3.4Ghz
ASUS P8B75-M Motherboard
G.Skill Ares 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3
Crossfire 27Q
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 650 Ti 1GB OC
Samsung 840 Pro 128GB

I saw the other thread on a build for photoshop/illustrator and I would probably swap the I7 out and get an AMD cpu. And also the monitor is just a "nice to have" so I'm open to other cheaper alternatives.

Any ideas would be much appreciated.

Thank you :)

Solution
This would leave almost $600 for monitor, Keyboard and mouse. You could easily fine two 24" IPS 1080p monitors for that amount, but probably not a single 1440P 27". Since this is for graphics and photos work, I highly recommend IPS monitors vs cheaper VA or TN.

And a last question before I can build you something...Is this only for photoshop? Do you plan overclocking?

No overclocking in this build. Not sure if you needed a lot of space so I put in 2tb hard drive. I left out keyboard and mouse since I don't know if you want just a basic one or one of those gaming ones.

Thanks Realchaos. 2TB is all I will need.

That's actually very close to my build. I guess I need to get my prices right, the total amount is a lot less than I thought.
