I just got a new build together with ryzen 5 1600, msi gtx 1080 and msi b350 tomahawk motherboard. I then installed w10 and went to the motherboards website here: https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/support/B350-TOMAHAWK.html#down-driver&Win10 64
And have no idea what i exactly need to download. I realize that audio and lan are something i need. What about chipset? It also mentions on board vga drivers in the chipset drivers? And the raid/sata drivers dont actually have any executables in the files?

Please help a noob in distress!

Use the disc, which is attached to the motherboard (in the MOBO's box), there are all the drivers inside. If you don't have the disc, then download and install all drivers from the official webpage. (skip only if you really know you won't need a specific driver, otherwise, something might not work in the future and after all you will find out that "damn, it was all about drivers!")

You don't need RAID or SATA drivers because your drives are not in RAID and are working.
Intel Chipset drivers must be downloaded.

Install all drivers from the motherboard CD. (alternatively, install internet-related LAN/WiFi drivers from CD and updated drivers from internet)
Install GPU Drivers.

After all is set, run windows update and let it update.

You must install:
Microsoft Visual C++ Redist (2012,2013,2015)
Microsoft .NET Framework (latest version)
Latest DirectX Update (google dxwebsetup.exe and let it do it's work)

These three things are essential for games to work.

For a brand new Ryzen system, yes he should. Fixes a lot of initial rollout issues.

Not necessarily but to keep the os in check and stable over a long period of time you will want to install them.
Sometimes I go half a year without installing them, either I forget to install them after installing Bindows or don't want to be bothered to look for them.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Unless you reboot the computer, go into the bios setup, enable onboard vga, save the settings in bios then reboot back into windows.
No it won't just install the chipset drivers most mobos out there can detect if you are using primary or secondary pci-e x16 display card as your main source.
