Hi,

I am looking to build a PC for myself for the first time. I am want to build a mid range computer as I play games quite a bit however I do not require them to be maxed out.

Could you please build me a computer on www.uk.pcpartpicker.com? My budget is about £400-£700.

As you can probably tell from my budget I am from the UK so if you could build PC on the UK site that would be appreciated.

I have a preference to Intel over AMD however if you feel AMD will do the job in your build then feel free.

Also any tips for my first build would be useful.

If you can hit the full £700, this is about what I'd do:

If you're a little more specific than mid-range computer (for example, what applications you use, what your priorities are, what you already have), it can be tailored a little more.

If you really want to overclock, you can go up to a 3570k and a Z77 motherboard and a cooler, but will have to back off on the GPU, probably down a little to a 7870XT (though it's a very good card).

I like DS's build. He went right up to your budget with solid components I'd say suck it up and spend up to your budget because buyers envy is a lousy thing to be stuck with the what if I had bought thing.
