New build need some help

Hi wondering if this is a good gaming build

Asus z97 A LGA 1150 atx
Asus R9 270x oc 2 gigs
XFX TS 650 psu
I5 4590 3.3 GHz
Samsung 850 evo 128 gig ssd
G skills ripjaws x series 2x4 gig 9cl ram
Cooler master hyper t2 cpu cooler
Western digital 1 tb HD
Asus DRW 24B1ST 24x DVD RW
Windows 8.1 home prem

The i5 4590 is strong enough that you won't have to upgrade it for a very long time. Going from a 4590 to a 4690k is a waste of money. Spending an additional $80-100 for a 4770k/4790k would also be a waste of money.

Forget about overclocking.


You're really not going to need the aftermarket cooler if you aren't going to OC.
I wouldn't buy Win8, but that's just me. It's fine if you like that interface.

Thanks for the info , mother board idea is to upgrade cpu to a k series for over clocking possibly in the future . And I basicly assumed windows 8.1 will be better tuned towards new games . Thanks again
