New build no display

I get one beep but no display. This is my 3rd build and first time with this problem.

Motherboard - Asus Sabertooth 9900 FX
CPU - AMD FX 4350
RAM - G Skill F3-14900CL9D-GBXL times 2
HDD Samsung SSD 850 EVO 500 GB
Graphics Card - Asus Strix R7370
PS - EVGA Supernova 1300 G2

I tried both the HDMI and DVI to the monitor and get nothing with both

Also try with 1 RAM stick at a time.

Usually a video card related issue.

Is it the 990FX or 990FX R2.0?

Look at the sticker on the mobo the last 4 numbers is the BIOS thats on it

The 990FX needs BIOS BIOS 1604 to support that CPU

FX-4350(FD4350FRW4KHK),4.2GHz,4C,125W,rev.C0,AM3+ ALL 1604


The R2.0 needs BIOS 1006

FX-4350(FD4350FRW4KHK),4.2GHz,4C,125W,rev.C0,AM3+ ALL 1006

If it's the R2.0 use Flashback to update the BIOS

And does the sticker say 1006 or higher?

If youve got any spare parts, such as an old gpu or ram, id throw them in there and see if that fixes anything. if not, you know your ram and gpu are good and its probably just the bios that needs to be flashed. Worst case, you have to RMA the board and wait for a new one.

Ok well the BIOS isnt the prob since thats the latest BIOS

Did you install the ram in the right slots?

Also try with 1 RAM stick at a time.

I tried one stick of RAM it posted. Then I shut it down installed another stick it posted again I installed windows, downloaded and and install updates then installed other 2 sticks it booted up fine and is working great
