[SOLVED] New build not turning on

Recently built my first pc but when I’ve went to turn it on nothing works the PSU works as I’ve tested it on an older motherboard and that works fine. Have a feeling the new motherboard I got is a bad one.

Motherboard - Gigabyte B365M DS3H
GPU - Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1650
RAM - ballistix 2x8GB DDR4
PSU - 500W

Also when I plug out the power from the back the fans and LEDS come on for a split second and go off

It sounds like something is shorting the PSU. If you are reusing old modular power cables with a new PSU, then this may be the problem.
