So a friend asked me for a $800~~~ build including a monitor.

His requirements are to be able to run modern games at 1080P with decent graphics (at least for the next couple of years), and use Modeling & Graphics software (SolidWorks, Photoshop, Maya, 3ds Max, Blender).

We don't live in the US so we don't have a large variety of parts to choose from, but this is what I had it mind:

The case will be Antec NX200 Windowed Micro-ATX Front RGB

For those unable to access pcpartpicker.com:
* AMD Six Core Ryzen 5 2600 3.9Ghz AM4 BOX
* MSI B450M BAZOOKA PLUS RGB
* CORSAIR Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) 288-Pin DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3000 (PC4 24000) Memory Kit Model CMK16GX4M2B3000C15
* HP EX920 M.2 512GB PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe 3D TLC NAND Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) 2YY46AA#ABC
* Seagate 2T 3.5'' Sata3 Barracuda 7200RPM 2 Years Warranty
* Sapphire Radeon NITRO+ RX 590 8GB GDDR5 PCI-E Dual HDMI / DVI-D / Dual DP OC w/ Backplate SPECIAL EDITION (UEFI), 100415NT+8GSEL
* CORSAIR TX550M 80+ GOLD Modular
* Antec NX200 Windowed Micro-ATX Front RGB
* BENQ 24'' GL2460HM 2MS HDMI + Speakers

* I actually don't know anything about building AMD builds, but went with AMD cause budget, I hope all the parts are compatible! :D
* The monitor is not important, just something decent on a cheap price
* Power draw should be more than enough, and although the PSU is kind of half-decent, reviews indicates it should work for us
* The 16GB ram should be enough for the system requirements of the fore mentioned software

My fears are that I'm missing something obvious here :p So would love some second opinions.

I'd personally opt for the Ryzen 1700. It'll be better for photo and video editing. Either route you go this build is very good and he wont be disappointed . Also if you already have the ram kit, that's fine but it's not a Samsung B Die. I'd recommend the GSkill Flare X 3200 as the latency is 14 and the kit is designed for Ryzen. You will benefit largely with a high speed kit.

I wouldn't bother with the RX 590,looked at some reviews and it's imo not worth the extra money over a RX 580. The difference in money could go to a nice cooler for the cpu or a better monitor or ...
