Approximate Purchase Date: I'm aiming to buy within the next 3 months if possible, soon rather than later.

The only thing I would change is go for a better quality board instead of the budget line with weak VRM...

I've had quite a few recommendations for the Wi-Fi MoBo now, but people said that if it breaks you may need to get a whole new board, is this the case or could I just buy a USB and tell it to look at that for wireless connection rather than the inbuilt MoBo? The recommendation is useful as well, thank you!

Those inbuilt cards are usually good and even if it breaks you can probably use any other adapter.

ALC 887 audio from that MSI board is garbage. You want to aim for a ALC 1220 minimal, trust me you do not want 887, even as a regular music enjoyer,

As for the WiFi adapter, it's a bad idea.
Pay more for the motherboard for both built in WiFi and high quality audio

As for saving money, i would personally look wether the 12600K is worth the extra 110 pounds over the 12400F by watching performance reviews. Because i don't think it is. Though as you said you may do production work down the line it may be worth the 4 extra cores. Sure isn't for gaming

90 pound cooler for the 12600K seems harsh, i think a half priced arctic freezer i35 would do the job just fine, and quiet too. But i don't know for sure.

Also i see no point in the nearly 50 pounds of fans you added to the list, as the case comes with 4. I personally would build in the Be Quiet Pure Base 500 DX it's an absolutely dream case to build in, sturdy high quality materials and good cooling, quiet fans. I've build in this many times and i absolutely love this case, extremely good value for money.

I'm currently thinking of going with this mobo now: https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/product...a1700-motherboard-mag-z690-tomahawk-wifi-ddr4

Its Audio output it Realktek ALC4080 Codec, is that much better?

Also people who tell you that you can't get other wireless network once the built in motherboard one breaks, don't know what the hell they are talking about.

In case that were to happen (unlikely) you can disable it through the bios and use a normal USB adapter.

Theres no reason to overspend on that either, on aliexpress the Edup brand has ones for 15 bucks that have a 6 DBi antenna and the latest RTL8812BU processor, they are great. i'd pick that over that 60 pound garbage TP-link thing from your original list.

Thank you for the advice! Had a few people say that you can disable it in the BIOS now so that's my biggest concern dealt with. I can keep my current USB adapter aside for if that day did come anyway.
