Question New Build - Pc runs pretty slow

I have recently built my second gaming PC, my first one was running pretty slow, but I just put that down to the low budget parts I used, but I built my second PC using mid range parts and it’s still running really slow, and some days the start up time is 3+ minutes, and during games it lags like mad, and even Chrime can take up to a minute to load some days too.

Does anyone know how I can stop it doing this and improve the speed?

Specs -

I5 12600k
MSI B660
MSI GTX 1070 8GB Gaming X
Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR5 32GB
Corsair CX750F PSU
Barracuda 1TB HDD
Crucial 2TB SSD M.2

Any help would be highly appreciated 😊

That board doesn't support DDR5... on MSI's website says it supports DDR4.
(Unless its the MAG Tomahawk)

Also, the i5 12600k supports DDR5 speeds of up to 4800MHz.. any more might cause problems with the memory controller.

Hey, I have just done this test and the results are;

CPU - 106%
GPU - 83.4%
M.2 2TB - 226%
HDD 1TB - 21.6%
RAM - 155%

So does this mean that it’s to HDD that’s slowing it right down?
