I just attempted to build my first PC, but I've ran into a few issues. I first ran a test boot on the box that my MOBO came in, and I received the correct response, but I was receiving a cpu fan error. I unraveled the wire attached to my CPU Fan (Intel i3), and I ran into a few issues including:
1.The system suddenly would start up, and then it would immediately shut back off.
2. Upon removing the motherboard I noticed that some of the standoffs had become stuck to the screws and are almost permanently attached to the motherboard.
3. I unplugged every wire, and set only the motherboard with the cpu and ram inserted, but upon trying to test boot I received a non-stop series of (short) beeps.
So, to sum up this post: I now have a mobo that has standoffs permanently attached to it (I may be able to remove them), and The CPU fan that was not running before now runs without stopping, but I am hearing a non-stop series of short beeps.
Can anyone please help me? I have invested around 500 or more dollars into this PC and would prefer to either receive a solution to my problem, or replace perhaps RMA my MOBO if that will solve the problem.
Thank you everyone in advance!
