Hey guys,

I'm going to start my second computer build and need some criticism and suggestions on my currently selected parts. The idea is to run almost any game at 1440 video quality at 60fps. Cost is not the issue. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Specs:
Mobo- Asus Hero VIII Alpha ATX
CPU- Intel Core i7 6700k
Graphics- MSI GTX 1070 (8gb)
Power Supply- EVGA Supernova 750
Storage- Samsung 850 EVO Pro 500GB
Memory- Corsair Dominator Platinum 3000Mhz (4x4gb)
Case-Corsair Obsidian 750D airflow
Cooling- NZXT Kraken x61

Honestly an overclock 1070 will not beat stock 1080, you'll need something like this https://www.ekwb.com/shop/water-blocks/vga-blocks/universal-vga-waterblocks/thermosphere and passive heat sink for its memory, VRM, and chokes. Fiddly that's why full cover (also water cooling memory, VRM, and chokes is pricier), But...

I have a couple Toshiba 1TB sitting around I can throw in there for more storage. The supernova G2 specifically is the one I'm looking at.

with windowed cases you might wanna go for https://www.ekwb.com/shop/ek-xlc-predator-240, replace the tube with primochill 10/16 mm soft tube (comes with clear or color tube), you might even build custom water cooled with additional full cover waterblock for your 1070 with predator cooling your CPU and GPU.

Nice, I think I'll go with the predator for the CPU. But would it be worth it to get the 1070 hybrid?

Or you can just go for https://www.amazon.com/EVGA-Hybrid-Waterblock-Cooler-400-HY-5188-B1/
