[SOLVED] New Build will display on TV but NOT on my Monitor

I just finished building my pc and installing windows, but my pc won't display on my monitor. It will, however, display on my TV. I was able to get the bios to display on my monitor before I installed windows so I don't understand what could be causing the problem. I typically have a dual monitor setup but my other monitor is still at college (home for break) both of my monitors are the same model, but one is a newer version and has an HDMI. The model that I can't get windows to display on has to use a DVI to HDMI adapter. Not sure if this is relevant to the problem or not but I figure id mention it just in case. the HDMI port on the motherboard does not seem to be outputting any signal as well.

For testing the motherboard port, try removing the graphics card.
