So I just built my new rig, and it won’t connect to my monitor. I’ve verified the cable works, and that the monitor does too. All my fans and lights are actively on/working. But when I connect to the monitor I just get hit with “no signal”.
I’ve gone through every checklist I can find. It also doesn’t register my keyboard or mouse. My mobo speaker doesn’t beep, and I know it’s in the right port. Please help. I’ve reconnected every switch/port, tried only connecting the bare minimum, tried different ram dimm slots. Nothing works

My specs are:

Asus Crosshair VI Hero MOBO
Asus Strix GEFORCE GTX 1080
AMD Ryzen 7 1700x CPU
G.Skill Trident 16gb DDR4 Ram (2 8GB Sticks)
Deepcool GAMMAXX CPU Cooler
Rosewill Quark Series 750W Fully Modular PSU
DIYPC Vanguard-RGB Black ATX Mid Tower Case

And my mobo doesn't have on board video, so I tried both HDMI and DVI, neither work.

MERGED QUESTION
Question from kristopheralton : "Is the reason my monitor won’t work because my ram is too fast for mobo?"

So I just built my new rig, and failed to see the supported memory was only up to DDR4 2400, and I bought memory that was 3000. I don’t get any monitor signal, I’ve tried everything in the books, and my friend say that’s the reason why.
Before I buy new RAM, can anyone confirm? Thanks!
