I recently built my second ever PC build, and was looking forward to getting it set up. The build itself went well, Windows downloaded, and I began to download updates and drivers. I started downloading the bunch of updates and driver updates that Windows gave to me automatically and only about 1/3 of them actually finished downloading and the rest failed to download.
Several times when I tried to download the update, the entire screen would freeze and my keyboard and my mouse would not work and the keyboard light would turn off and not turn back on. I would turn it off via the power button and turn it back on and sometimes it would post and boot fine and others it would not post. The fans would turn on, the disk drive would open, but I did not get a connection to my monitor and I didn't get an error message either.
When I updated Windows, this was the error message I got: 0x80073712
I went into the command prompt and entered the code sfc /scannow to look for any files that are damaged or missing but the scan came out clean. I also did a memory check with both memory sticks in and it came out clean as well. I tried starting with one stick of RAM and with 2 and both started fine but I did not download anything. I remember now that the computer did freeze a couple times when using netflix. I'm not sure if this would indicate a voltage or PSU issue but I will download a temp app and see if the temps are off.
I've checked all the cords and they are attached fine and are plugged in securely. I especially checked the CPU power cord and that looks fine. I'll post the computer specs. What should I do from here to further troubleshoot?
