Hi all,
I am slowly upgrading my old machine ...and now I am strugling with Graphic card (don't know what to choose) and maybe mother board not sure (still working). My gaming monitor will be lg 27gl850.
Right now I have:
Monitor: EIZO FlexScan S2431W - will be replaced with lg 27gl850
Processor: Intel Core i5-4670K CPU 3.40GHz
Ram: ADATA XPG V 1.0 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 1600
Graphic card: Radeon (TM) RX 470 - what replacement will be best?
Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-Z87-D3HP - should be replaced?

I will appreciate if you could help and experience :)

It all depends on your budget. and also the resolution you playing on . for example . the rtx 2060 S is the best budget Gpu for modern games for 1080P And also for 1440P . There are also many different options which can be more expensive or cheaper.

Well I would like to have good resolution for Cyberpunk 2077 and also I don't buy graphic every year (the old one is with me 2-3 years.) Budget for graphic is between 450-650$. I thought before about AMD Radeon RX Vega 64 now I thought abut RTX 2070.

I think your mobo/cpu still can hold it's ground for the coming years. Maybe if you find a cheap 4790K 2nd hand that you find some increase in performance, but it seems negligible.

The 5700XT or the 2060S are great cards for 1080P/1440p gaming but they might not get their full performance in newer games because of the 4 core CPU. The vega 56 is another option, if you find one with samsung Vram, you can flash it and get the same performance as a 64.

All depends on the amount money you want to spend on it, the vega 56 would be a good budget option, because it goes best with your current setup. (and you will likely want to replace it when you want to upgrade your cpu/mobo in a few years) But the 2060S, 2070 or 5700XT are stronger and you could keep them when upgrading your mobo.

But seeing that you will be playing on 1440p, a better gpu is always a good idea. Look around if you find some deals, the 3 latter cards are all in the same category performance wise.

I wouldn't upgrade your mobo now, keep that when you upgrade for a new cpu/ram.

If I would like to upgrade mobo too is there any recommendation?

You mean with a new cpu?

A ryzen 3600/3700x will give a bit more performance, but they have more cores so they are more future-proof. That with a ASUS X570 TUF Gaming mobo should be a good combo with a lot of extra's. But you will also have to buy new ram (3200MHz or better is best for more fps). So it will be quite a big investment.

With a budget cap of $650, there is no reason to stick with 5 year old CPUs.

Your current 4 thread I5 will fail to keep up with modern graphics cards, even at 1440p. You could swap in an I7 4790k, but the used cost of these CPU's is pretty substantial.

This CPU+GPU combo will be pretty capable.

thanks for your suggestion...450-650$ was only for graphic where Base on the info which I gathered yesterday I think about Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Super. So maybe good solution will be to save more money and buy new cpu, mobo and memory.
any suggestion what how build should look like?

When i had almost zero experience with bottlenecks and that stuff . I bought rtx 2060 and paired it with a 4 core i5 7400 cpu. And it bottlenecked so hard giving me under 60 fps in almost every game even at fortnite.
I upgraded to Amd ryzen 3600X and gaming on my pc came back to life again ., the results ate outstanding .

I will give you an idea about my Build for example . You can improve it with a better Gpu:
Gigabyte Aorus B450M gaming motherboatd
Amd ryzen 3600X 6 core/12 threads Cpu
Gigabyte RTX 2060
2X8 HyperX 16GB Memory( i made a mistake and got 26666Mhz speed. Go for +3000mhz
