would you consider building on z590 with a 11th gen cpu in 2023? asking because I can get a free motherboard but right now I only have a 4690k

Hey there,

Yeah, depending on which CPU/Mobo, it's still very relevant and great gamers.

But, I would never start a build with a mobo, and work back form there. The mobo may be pants, and not provide what you really need.
What are your aims. What hardware do you currently have?

I would. 11th gen is still new. Obviously you will not have an upgrade path but personally, I don't upgrade my system every year. 11th Gen CPUs are MORE than capable to handle the latest titles and upcoming titles (obviously paired with an equal or better GPU). I typically upgrade my system during a new platform update. I was using a 4930k up till I got a Ryzen 7 3800x. If you wont be upgrading in the next 2-3 years then you're all fine.
