Question New Build

I'm currently living in Spain and planning to build a new PC. My main goal is to play most games at 1080p with at least 100 FPS.

My budget is between 1000€ and 1300€. I'm not 100% sure if the components I have in mind are the best, so I would really appreciate any suggestions or advice on how to get the best performance for that price range.

Also, if you spot any potential bottlenecks or areas where I could improve the build to make it more efficient, feel free to share your thoughts! I'm open to any advice.

Thanks in advance!

Thirded, that combo above should keep you happily gaming for years. I've attached the review for the 14700k which includes the 5800X3D, and the 5700X3D is within 5% on average of the 5800X3D. I've also attached a review for the RX 7900 GRE since it includes the cards we've talked about, and you can see how they compare to one another.

Note that the new Win 11 24H2 preview should increase performance for AMD CPUs from Zen 2 onwards as well. Zen 4/5 saw 10% average gains from the preview.

If you’re going AMD now go AM5. The best CPU you’re going to get on AM4 is the 5800X3D. There’s nowhere to upgrade without swapping out the entire platform

Thanks for the feedback!

In my last build, I had a really bad experience with noise and high temperatures from my RX580, which was frustrating. This time, I chose the RTX 4060 because I’ve heard it’s more efficient in terms of power consumption and runs cooler.

Since it’s an NVIDIA card, I'm hoping it won’t have the same overheating and noise issues that I experienced with AMD.

Do you think this Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 7800 XT 16 GB Video Card was a good choice? Or should I be concerned about similar problems?

Overall the Sapphire Pulse is basically the reference design for AMD cards. It is usually very nice price/performance ratio and decent on how loud it is. Overall the reference design hit 35.8 dB at 50cm away. https://www.techpowerup.com/review/amd-radeon-rx-7800-xt/36.html Do note that the 7800XT is A LOT faster than the RTX 4060 as well. Overall the 4060 only has 60% the 1080p performance of the 7800XT.

While not a huge fan of 6 core chips these days, the 7600/7600x are about equal to a 5700x3d, in gaming, and gives you a platform with an upgrade path.

Alternative build with quieter GPU. I have this GPU just as an RX6700XT and even at full load it is quiet. Overall the 7800XT and 6700XT have the same power draw.
