Laptop is losing it's gusto, thus I am looking to upgrade and have decided to take it upon myself to make my first ever personal build. I have made a lot of headway in researching all the necessary components and have made a possible setup list with options, which is why I am seeking advice to make the final decisions. What I am looking to accomplish is an above average personal home setup for everyday use/some gaming/some 3D modeling. (not high end AutoCAD modeling, just SketchUp I'd say). Budget around $1,000 to $1,500. Looking to make this happen by the new year, personal present to myself. And yes I will be buying a monitor. So please take a look at the selection below and let me know what you think. PS: Definately need help with motherboard selection.
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K Haswell 3.5GHz LGA 1150 84W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics.

Note: I have no knowledge of overclocking but am getting the k version in case I am ever intrigued. Also I believe this version better supports multiple displays.
MOBO: This I cannot decide on and need the most help with. I do want a Z87 chip-set and an ATX model however, so I am thinking the following as options. (wireless would be nice but I can add that on as an extra).
-ASRock Z87 Extreme4 LGA 1150 Intel Z87 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Lots of options for the mobo I know but I just can't decide. I don't plan on having any more than two graphics card though, if that, which is next and brings up a question.
GPU: A couple options here but I know I want Crossfire/SLI ready, 1 or 2 GB memory on board, OpenGL 1.5 or higher (for Google SketchUp modeling), and something powerful for gaming.
-AMD Radeon HD 7870
-Geforce GTX 660
-NVIDIA GTX 760
Note: I know there are big differences between workstation and gaming computer components and I stated I'd be doing some 3D modeling, but i think there shouldn't be a big problem here. However, if i wanted the best of both worlds, is it possible to join one gaming GPU and one 3D modeling GPU in crossfire/SLI layout and achieve this or is that not possible?
Hard Drive: I want one 120Gb SSD and one 1TB or so HDD. The SDD for the OS.
-SAMSUNG 840 EVO MZ-7TE120BW 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820147247
-WD BLACK SERIES WD1003FZEX 1TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236625
Memory: (RAM) 16 GB low latency DDR3
Note: Will be determined based on compatibility with mobo. Any good brand name suggestions are welcome.
PSU: Would like this to be completely modular and have extra power for growth. Want to run at the 50% mark for efficiency, thus looking at 850W units.
-KINGWIN Lazer LZ-850 850W Modular 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC W/ 3-Way LED Switch and Universal Modular Connector Power Supply

Case: I like the first the best but am worried that it will not get enough front ventilation.

+Monitor - 1920x1080 HD, possibly Samsung.
Also, I'm thinking widows Vista as I may have an extra disk and key. 64 bit. I'm iffy about widows 8...
Other Info- I am located in NY (not the city), I don't have a preference besides Intel CPU, and I haven't gamed on a PC in a long time so i have no basis for requirements.
Thank you for anyone who is willing to take the time and help this first timer out.
I really appreciate it
