New computer build keeps randomly turning on :P

Hellooo,

This is my first build and I am yet to get the graphics card (comes tomorrow).

Everything works like a dream and it looks awesome except for a couple of minor problems.

Specs:

- RaidMax Quantum
- ASRock Z77 Extreme4
- Intel Core i7 2600k 3.4GHz Quad-Core
- Zalman CNPS9900ALED Ball Bearing
- Corsair TX650
- Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3-1600
- Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB

The problems I am having are that the restart LED on the top on the case is not working (not too bothered about this, but would like it to be working).

Then the main problem is that it just turns itself on, randomly.
I am not really sure why it does this but I would like to sort it because it uses electricity and I have to pay for that

Any suggestions would be LOOOOVELY!

well you can always use the power switch on the psu to cut off the power, then it can't auto turn on. Not a perfect fix but i dont know what else you could do. Maybe check your wiring.

Yeah very true, but it's kinda awkward, it has only done it twice when I have been there, and my step-brother told me it did it several times while I was at work :/

only thing I can think of is short in the power switch wiring,

thats how the power switch functions after all, simply shorts two lead

test it first, unplug the power cable from the motherboard and see if it stops the problem
