specifically for gaming the intel route is superior

1700 + that taichi mobo = ~$488 before rebates

a 8600k + z370 mobo would be superior and cheaper
allowing you to get a gtx 1070 ti


I STRONGLY suggest you post your budget and ask people for the best bang for buck gaming setup
