I got a new computer on Christmas, and this is my first time booting it up. I have a transfer cable connecting from my old computer to my new one, so I can transfer my files to that one, and there is an HDMI cable connecting from my new computer to my second monitor, which is actually a TV (my old PC is using my first monitor at the moment).

I'm using Windows Easy Transfer to transfer these files, and it told me to boot up my new computer and run Windows Easy Transfer from there in order for the process to work.

When I booted up my new PC, it seems to be operating fine from inside (fans are working, lights are on), but the TV is completely dyslexic as it's not even reading a signal from the computer's HDMI cable. I've been waiting for about 10 minutes now and nothing still hasn't shown up. I really don't want to do anything extreme (per se) to my computer because my father, who commissioned someone to build it for us, says that it has been running fine before it was shipped. That, and I'm really afraid of dissecting computers.

It's already plugged into the back. Sorry, I should've added that earlier.

I don't exactly understand...
