new computer problem

Hey guys, ive just build a new computer with (almost) all new components apart from my boot drive (120 GB 840 EVO and my hard drive seagate 1 TB) but my computer wont boot, im wondering if because my old computer had a amd CPU and MOBO if thats causing my new computer from working. Any thoughts?

Yes im able to access the bios, the new components are i7 4970k, Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 7, Kingston HyperX Savage Red 16GB, KFA2 GeForce GTX 970 and a Silent Base 800.

Try setting SATA to IDE in BIOS and boot in safe mode. See if working.

im very new to this, so im not sure how to do this.

In BIOS, go to Peripherals\SATA Configuration, and set SATA to IDE.
Save, restart and press F8. Select safe mode from the boot menu.
