I just ordered a new custom computer but had them build it for me. I installed windows on it. From the very first day it has been randomly freezing on me.
Computer:
GPU: GTX 660
CPU: 3570k
MOBO: GA-Z77-D3H rev 1.1
RAM: Corsair Vengeance CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
PSU: Antec Neo Eco 620C Bronze Certified Power Supply
SSD: Samsung 840 Series 120GB SSD Retail Box
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB ST2000DM001
HDD2: A hard drive I took directly from my toshiba satelite L500 and put in.
What I mean by freeze: The computer becomes unresponsive. I can not move the mouse, keyboard does nothing and the sound (if its running) will stutter and very very very slowly progress ( I stress very slowly) but mostly it is just a buzz and you can understand it. The fans and lights on the computer still run and work not a problem but I have to force restart using the power button.
How Often: Now the computer just randomly stops. Doesnt matter the program running or the amount of time running it just stops. This can be from browsing the web with 2 tabs open, Opening up my computer, playing games or watching a video. Sometimes they work for hours other 2 minutes. I can also reboot the computer and re do the same task not a problem.
Tests I have run: First I downloaded sensor view pro and CPUID HWMonitor and Idle speed for the four cores sits about 77F (25C), Memory Usuage about 12% and clock speed 2400MHz and GPU is at about 81F(27C)
I have run memtest (well four of them, one for each core as per manual) for 2 hours. each about 200% covered. Computer didnt have a problem at all with this. During this testing temps didnt get above 91F(33C) and Memory usage was maxed out at 99%.
I checked BIOS and the ram is being supplied 1.5V as per the manual.
I have also looked in computer->manage-> event viewer. There are critical errors which line up with the computer crashing but they all say "The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first. This error could be caused if the system stopped responding, crashed, or lost power unexpectedly." which I am assuming is me hard restarting it.
Also when the computer crashes I have never had the temps for the CPU over 87F(30C), the GPU is never over 100F(38C), Memory usage is never over 50%.
Anyhelp is muchly appreciated and I am more then happy to answer all questions. Thanks for your help!
