New Computer Rig Overkill Noob i know nothing

Hey guys just wanted to settle something with myself.
First off here are the parts im getting (im getting these parts regardless, just need to know which to go with)

Motherboard: Asus Rampage IV Extreme
CPU: i7 3930k
CPU cooler: Corsair H80
SSD: Intel 520 series 480GB
Case: Antec Twelve Hundred V3 (Only problem is that im not sure if it supports E-ATX, if it doesn't, can someone recommend a Case that does?)
PSU: Corsair AX Gold 800 OR Corsair HX Gold 1050
RAM: Corsair Platinum Dominator 4X8 32GB 1866mhz
Graphics Card: Gtx 680. Ok i dont know what brand to go with. I am told that first off 4gb models are the way to go to 'future-proof yourself but i thought it was only for larger displays? Second, ASUS or MSI. Thirdly, its either Asus gtx 680 direct cuii top 2gb or MSI gtx 680 2gb or MSI gtx 680 4gb. I really need help with this. Much is appreciated!

I'm afraid I don't feel good recommending you get any of these unless your purpose for building is high end workstation.

I don't suggest wasting money on closed-loop water cooleres, the H80 will be outperformed by high-end air coolers like the Silver Arrow and NH-D14. If you want water cooling, it's either the real thing or not.

What will this computer be used for? 32gb of RAM is major overkill 99% of the time.

1050w would be too much, 750-850w would be more than enough even with SLI/Crossfire.

The Antec 1200 V3 is a full tower, it should support any ATX form factor, but weird enough, the product info on their website and even on Newegg lists only up to the size of a standard ATX is supported.

Forget the 680, it's not worth buying just yet.
It performs too close to the 670, it's basically an overclocked version of the 670. You'll be paying ~$100 for a mere 5% difference in performance.

You'll only ever need more than 2gb of VRAM if you're on multi-monitor setups in which case AMD cards are better for Eyefinity. OR if you are running/playing heavily modded games like Skyrim.

Fair enough, my current computer aint so great... So i felt like spoiling myself. It will be mainly used for non stop over the clock gaming most of the time. So i see that AX 800 will be the way to go. For the motherboard i might then switch over to the sabertooth x79 to save myself a little bit of money, and the water cool no good? i think i might stick with the 680, first time to have a high end gpu, yes i have seen the $100 extra only gives %5 difference, but im willing, my card i had was a gts 250 and it died after 4 loyal years of service. It shall be remembered in the MSI gtx 680 lightning 2gb. Any other recommendations before i screw myself over and do the unncessary?

Is this your first time building a pc? If you don't know much I wouldn't recommend water cooling, it's a pain. Get the radeon HD 7970, or GTX 670 although I prefer the 7970. don't get the sabertooth x79, if you are gonna get an expensive motherboard keep the Asus Rampage IV it's alot better IMO. This is all my opinion though.

Yes, but even less money can give you a 7970GHz, which out-does a 680.

Also, for gaming, you might as well go for an i5. See the thing is, you might have one of the most powerful computers on the planet. The thing is, my computer is pretty fast as well, and after 4 years or so, both of us are going to have to replace some parts at least to keep up with the games.

Once you get into your pricerange, there is really no more point to spend more to get any performance.

You're getting the 680 Lightning? That's even more expensive. $600 on Newegg and the cheapest is $532 on Amazon.

That's like more or less $180 down the drain, and voltages are locked on nVIDIA cards so you can't really get much of it.

I agree with techdude9 and Deemo13, just get a 7970GHz Edition - more performance, less money.

As for the PSU, here are cheaper alternatives that are just as good(if not actually better) than the AX.

ANother vote for the i5-3570K. The i7-3930K is a great workstation CPU (CAD, heavy video rendering, etc), but gaming wise, the 3570K is just as fast. So, off the top of my head:

15-3570K
A good Z77 motherboard
At least 8GB of RAM

^You don't need even close to an 850w PSU...

If you had TWO 7970 GHz editions, a 750w PSU would still be more than enough.

750w would technically work, but that leaves little to no headroom for any OC on CPU or GPU since the 2 cards itself would consume ~700w on full load, and that number is usually based on reference cards.

The PSU would also be working very hard and is going to lose efficiency since their peak is when on more or less 60% of their load capacity.
