My new computer was assembled at a shop.
The specs are:
MOBO: Gigabyte Z77-D3H
CPU: I5-3570K
RAM:CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR3 1600MHZ (2X4GB)
SSD:pLEXTOR M5 PRO 128GB
PC CASING: CORSAIR CARBIDE 200R COMPACT ATX
GPU: SAPPHIRE VAPOR-X R9 280X 3GB GDDR5 OC
PSU: SUPERFLOWER HX-600 GOLD MODULAR
DVD:SAMSUNG LITEON
(2 extra ram 2X2GB / HDD / WIFI CARD)
OS: Windows Ultimate( Installed at shop, really grateful to the uncle for doing this !)
What i want to do is:
1)attach the HDD to the computer, but i am scared the viruses affect the OS and SSD.
2) Download a good antivirus software
3) Test the computer to see if there are any defects.

How should i go about doing the above mentioned and is/are there any other stuffs that i should do before utilising the com? Thanks!

download realtempgt for your cpu temps and intel burn test to stress it out for overclocking if you plan to do that. other than that memtest86 will take care of your memory. shouldn't need a lot of care unless your oc'ing. good luck!

yeah, play around and have fun! but nah seriously just keep temps in check especially when oc'ing and keep drivers up to date from the websites. it's not hard stuff and as far as the gpu goes just download the manufacturer's gpu tool and you'll be fine!
