I just built a new Core 2 Duo system

D975XBX Intel Motherboard
2.13 Ghz Core 2 Duo CPU

I try installing Windows 64 bit on the computer. The computer freezes halfway in loading Windows Setup.

What is the possible problem for this?

Sounds like bad RAM, or a scratched CD. Bad RAM seems more likely. Download Memtest86 and run that on your memory.

So I dled MemTest...the computer freezes during the memory test.

When I try to install Windows, I get NTLDR is missing

Are you pressing F6 during initial Windows install to add drivers for your SATA or SATA RAID setup? It may not be the likeliest thing, but something to consider. I take it you get through the "DOS"-style screens where it shows copying files and then you get the NTLDR missing after the first reboot?

(It may be clear to many of you that I've not dealt with 64-bit XP, so this could be completely useless information.)
