Question New Corsair RM750 PSU - No display

Hi all, I'm sure I'm just having a slow morning and the solution is simpler than I am currently thinking. Anyway, I bought a new PSU, a Corsair RM750 off eBay. It arrived this morning, so I hooked it up to my PC. Upon powering up my PC with this new PSU, I noticed all fans power up, except on the PSU itself. Additionally, with this new PSU I am recieving no display on my monitor. The light on GPU shows it is recieving power but my monitor is receiving no signal.

I have switched my old PSU back in to test my PC for possible problems and the display worked as normal. Have I been robbed on eBay by buying a broken PSU? Or am I missing something very obvious? Any help is really appreciated!

I can't imagine what you are missing.

I recently upgraded and old Chinese 1000 watt PSU to an RM750 and all it was....was power down.....swap PSUs ....power up.

Edit: Do you have a multimeter? If so....I'd be checking voltages.

So you're suggesting the PSU is probably faulty?

I can't think of it being anything else....but as I said....you could check the voltages if you have a meter.

The main ones are +5, +12 and + 3.3V and you want them all within 5% of those values.

Could it be that you forgot to plug something in?

Could it be that you have a plug loose?

I've ensured everything is plugged in correctly several times.

Is the C-LINK slot required? I was under the understanding it was an optional feature?

I was unfamiliar with C-Link.....maybe because mine was a 750 RMx...I don't know.

I did google it and it looks to be optional....but I'm not 100% sure.

I've had good luck with EBay though. I'm not saying yours isn't a lemon....but I've had real good luck with EBay.

I too have had only luck with eBay, but it's starting to look like it could be faulty. But it seems strange that everything else powers on except the display.

You're welcome.

Is it an external GPU? Maybe reseat the card?
I would check the monitor cable too...although you probably already have. Try another monitor?
