Just upgraded my cpu from a i7-7700 to a i7-9700 and got a Asus Prime Z390-A to go with it . After putting it all together, I don't get any display on my monitor

Full build:
I7-9700
Asus Prime z390-a
Asus GTX 1070
Corsair Vengeance 32 gb 3200

I've tried everything from testing each ram stick, resetting the CMOS, making sure everything is plugged in correctly and all the way and still nothing . Any help is appreciated!

"No display" could mean a couple of things. It could mean, it doesn't display anything when trying to boot into Windows. It also could mean you cannot even get the BIOS menu to show up.

Have you tried to get into the BIOS? To get into the BIOS you need to repeatedly hit the Delete key after you push your PC power button.
silly question. have you tried using your onboard display to get into your bios? if your onboard display is working, there will be a a PCI setting in bios to swap from onboard to PCIE

I have tried plugging both into the gpu and MB and still get nothing , everything lights up and runs, all the fans turn on, just no display

because your gpu came out your last system and you tried to plug and play, your new CPU and Mobo don't even see the GPU if its there because the CPU and mobo hadn't had initial setup.....try all motherboard display ports before fitting gpu.

I have tried it plugged straight into the MB, no gpu installed snd it still has no display. I switched back to my old MB and CPU and everything works just fine so it has to be either the new MB or new CPU and now I'm just trying to figure out which one
