New CPU boot up trouble

I just upgraded my old CPU (Pentium dual core) into this configuration
Zebronics g41 mb
2gb ddr3 1300mhz
Core2quad q6600

Also added coolermaster h410r

After installing all the components ., (No video card) the CPU fan intermittently powered and the psu too . After some seconds the power turns off. Tried resetting cmos . Still this happens . Help please

You may need to update BIOS.

You should check compatibility for your motherboard.
It will need a bios upgrade.

So put your old CPU back in and upgrade your bios to the latest one available, only then should you try new CPU.

Not sure if you can still get bios for this old motherboard.
