im not a pc guy at all i didnt build my pc i have right now but i need help.

I've just brought a i7-9700KF CPU because my current CPU needs an upgrade.
I have an i5-8500 atm and I need to know if the i7-9700KF will work in my motherboard which is
ASRock B360M/OEM and the chipset is Intel Coffee Lake. Someone help me and respond thankyou.

Edit
i see it says A motherboard like that isn't going to support a 9th gen CPU out of the box. It would require a BIOS update while using an 8th gen CPU before you can run a 9700K.
Would i be able to do this in settings and stuff or would i need to actually do something to my CPU?

Flash the BIOS BEFORE the CPU swap. Refer to your user manual on how the user does this is done. No CPU mods are required.

You are good. Here is the cpu support list for your motherboard:
https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/B360M Pro4/index.asp#CPU
i7-9700KF is on the list and needs 4.0 or 3.20 depending on the processor.
You can see your current bios level in the motherboard section of cpu-Z.
The most current bios level is 4.20.

Note that unlike your i5-8500, the i7-9700KF does not have integrated graphics.
You will need a discrete graphics card to run.
