New CPU for Dimension E521?

I don't know where to start looking for a new CPU for my computer
Specs:
CPU: AMD Athlon 64 Dual core 4000+

Power Supply: 305 watts (Willing to buy a new one if I have to)

Yea my friend upgraded it before I had it. I want to play games with it mostly.

I'm doing light gaming, I can currently play skyrim on high settings. I can't spend 500 - 1000$ on a new rig, I'm only 14 I can't get expensive things.

You don't need a cpu upgrade. You need a video card upgrade. If you did want to get a better cpu, you could grab a used Athlon x2 5400+ or 5600+ off of ebay for $20-25. Just make sure you get a 65w version and not the 89w version.

omg guys just give him a straight up answer instead of telling him how to build a new one look justinkea i use the same model and same processor the only thing i have upgraded was my ram i put two 2 gig ddr2 sticks from kingston in there im playing no more room in hell, call of duty, war thunder, team fortress 2 at max setting with a max of 30 fps per sec and it dose drop low sometimes when im using fraps but all i really need to do is upgrade my processor to the same brand just a 6000+ and the graphics card upgraded as well and ill be able to play games like skyrim and others like it and im using a nvidia geforce 6150 LE graphics card its not ment for gameing it only has 128 mb of memory and im still able to play some high end games so if you dont have the money for a new rig for right now dont wast your time on getting one fix up the one you have so you can be happy with that until you can afford a new rig so best of luck to you and as well make shore you build it yourself not a pre build if you need picture proof or video proof on my rig or any other information contact me at stephenschrimpshire@gmail.com

I seriously doubt its possible to run any game on an nvidia GeForce 6150 .I had that intergreted card on my old PC and it could barely run gta san Andreas,doom3,far cry 1 at lowest settings.

m8 i have the same board 8Gb 800mhz ram and crappy radeon hd 5450 and i can max out setting on them games
