New cpu hotter than old?

So I used to have a amd fx 4100 running at 3.6 and it never went over 100 F running as much as I could. (gaming, rendering video, and web.)
I recently upgraded to a amd fx 8350 at 4.0 and it is constantly at 100+ F and Im only on the web and playing WoW...its at 20 percent power and 100 F
I wanna say that if my 4100 was at 20% it would only be at 80 F
the stock fan that came with the 8350 is loud as hell (while it is at 100 F which is most of the time since I am gaming a lot)
I was just kinda wondering if more cores meant hotter cpu or if this new heatsink isnt keeping my 8350 at cool as it should or what. I dont like it being at 100F all the time and the fan is annoying
what can I do to keep the cpu cool and shut the fan up...

The reason why it's hotter, it's cuz that it was sort of designed to be like that. For example, the best AMD GPU R9 290X runs hotter than any GPU in history (I would like to think, without proof). The FX 8350 was designed to run hot, and to be honest, 100+ F isn't that hot for FX 8350, it could be worse (but probably throttle before it gets there)

100F means 37.7C. This reading is normal. Better use HWMonitor for reading the cpu temps. Stock fans on 8350 are very poor in performance. Better get cheaper aftermarket CPU Cooler.

Well if ima get a new heatsink I would like one that is quiet and keeps it really cool....would the hyper 212 fit that category?

From my personal experience, yes. It's a very very popular pick within the tech community, it's very cheap and perform like a beast.

Yes, CM Hyper 212 is recommended one. I want to but not recommending (My most recommended) cooler that is Noctua NH-14D/NH-U14S. Anyhow, what case your have and how many RAMs are you using? Do you have ATX mobo? All these questions are important because these coolers are big in size and their fitting can be a issue.
