Question New cpu makes computer turn off

Hi guys I just updated my cpu from a i7 7700k to a i7 9700k my mother board is a b250m pro-vdh I upgraded my bios to the newest one. Anytime I put my old cpu in my computer works fine but if I put the 9700k in it will turn off in 1-3 seconds instantly I’m not to sure on the problem I made sure the cpu was compatible with my board so idk the problem any ideas

B250 supports LGA1151 cpus. The 7700K is an 1151 cpu.
The 9700K is an LGA 1151 V2 cpu, and thus not supported.

You need a Z390 or B365 motherboard.

You did not make sure it was compatible. The motherboard support list would show you it is not. As above that cpu will not work on a 100 or 200 series motherboard.
