New cpu needed new bios, now I can't boot original cpu

I bought an amd fx 8350 cpu for my M5A78L-M LX V2 motherboard. I installed the cpu and when I turned on my pc nothing happened. No beep and no output to the screen. I searched around and it would seem I need an updated bios. I downloaded the appropriate bios and tried turning on the pc with the new cpu to no avail since it can't even get into the boot screen. Then I tried putting in the old cpu, a Phenom II X2 560, to install the bios, but now it's acting up. It beeps on startup and the screen registers an output but it's just black with an occasional jump to an unfamiliar boot screen, but that just flashes by in an instant.

How can I access my boot screen, have I wrecked my old cpu? Or is there some other solution?

(I've also tried removing the battery from the motherboard with both the old and new cpu.)

EDIT: When i turn on my pc with the old cpu it beeps once as it usually does, but then it beeps twice after.

No, i can't imagine that is necessary since it worked fine before switching the CPU. But I'll try it if i exhaust other options and actually buy another battery.

I also read that you should take out the battery and then hold the power button for 30 sec. Have not tried that yet. Only just swiftly removing and reinserting it again.

Ok, will try this.

Edit: No difference.

Ok, so the reason my pc wouldn't start up is because my graphic card had some issue. So I removed it and plugged in a vga to the motherboard and it bootet up and I could install the new bios for the new cpu. And that worked so now I just have to find out what's wrong with my gpu.

Been a while since i fixed this, but thought i'd post my results if anyone else had a similar problem.
So i needed more power to be able to run both the new cpu and the gpu. Got a Corsair 750 mx i believe and it worked fine.
