Question New cpu

I have installed the i9-9900k, when booting up my computer freezes. I now have installed the i5 back in there to see what to do. I have checked updates(maybe I’ve done them wrong) can someone please help. Thank you in advance!

You may need a BIOS update.

Do you have to have USB to do that? I have the mother board msi mpg 390z gaming plus

It is compatible, from the research I’ve done. I’ve tried everything. Just not to sure how to update BIOS.

Yes you do need a usb containing the bios update.
