Hey, I have a PC that was custom built with all new hardware, and it has hard freezes requiring a manual reboot. It has happened anywhere from once a month to a few times a day.
These freezes occur while doing anything from watching a movie, browsing the web, or when it's just sitting idly.

I replaced the PSU, flashed the Bios, reinstalled windows, changed the power settings, updated drivers, and re-sat the ram with no change!

Windows event viewer doesn't show anything that related to the crash except "previous system shutdown was unexpected".
Durning these freezes I've opened the case and all the fans and lights are still on.

After running stress, cpu, and memtest all came up fine. My temps are good as well.

Since all the hardware is all new not sure what to switch out next, if I should reinstall windows 7 again or change something in the bios.

This is the most frustrating computer problem ever!
Help would be appreciated. :)

I'm using a
Intel i7 3770k,
Intel graphics 4000,
Asus H61M-A Motherboard,
1 Crucial DDR3 Ram 8GB
Samsung Evo 840 SSD as primary drive,
Seagate 1TB HDD
Corsair 550 watt PSU

Everything's up to date on my PC. I checked out my Bios and everything looked fine. Alright, well I'm not sure if I should replace the motherboard or Cpu. If anyone's had this issue and solved it let me know.

Did you reapply the thermal paste?

It's not that simple. I've done that, ran about 6 different stress test. They all come up as passes, and there's no freezing when I do them.
These freezes happen randomly when you're not expecting it.

How long did you do Prime95? 12, 24 and 48 hour tests are not uncommon

Corsair, it says that in the description, and no the problem's not the PSU. Had the same problem with a different PSU. No freezes during any of the stress test.

Did you ever resolve this, OP? I'm having the exact same issue. Random freezes with no ability for keyboard or mouse input. Fans and LED stay on (ethernet port LEDs blinking), and there's nothing in Event Viewer other than my forced shutdown. All my temps are fine: while gaming, the video card is around 75 C and processor around 55 - 59 C, and they're both in the 30s while idle. Crashes occur regardless of CPU/GPU load.

Specs:

i5-3570K
EVGA GTX 770 4GB
MSI Z77A-G45 mainboard
Corsair Vengeance (4x4GB) 1600Ghz memory
Corsair CX750M PSU
Samsung 850 EVO SSD (250 GB)
WD Blue 1 TB HDD

What I've done:
Reinstalled windows 8.1/10, switched out PSU, changed thermal paste, RMA'd mobo, memtest86 (all passing), CPU stress test (all good), changed power profiles, updated/reinstalled all drivers, changed SSD (originally had a Sandisk Ultra II and suspected it might be storage-related.) I still think it might be storage related but perhaps related to Intel's Rapid Storage Technology service, so I've disabled that and now waiting for a crash. It's very frustrating.
