Hi I recently got a new Forza NT-1011 UPS: https://www.forzaups.com/products/internal/NT-1011-eng
Now, I've never used a UPS until now so I followed the instructions that are in the manual, pretty much just plug in the UPS to the outlet and leave it charging without anything plugged in to it for at least 6 hours. That is what I plan to do, but one thing I noticed is a peculiar smell, it's like" new plastic" , not exactly burning smell but it's odd, is this normal?

I think you should leave the UPS for charge overnight, which is anywhere between 8~12 hours. Longer would be better. What is the make and model of your PSU? Perhaps what you're smelling is the heat from the PCB vaporizing the solder/flux on said PCB.

If it's plastic, that's the smell of pretty much anything newly unboxed.

yeah i left it charging overnight after using it for an hour at best on my desktop and monitor.
so in the end it charger like 8 hours more on top of the 7 hours that i actually gave before using it.

when i tested the battery (unplugged the power connector of the ups from the power outlet) , i was playing a game so it was under load, and i noticed that my monitor went to no signal and the led of the power button of the monitor turned orange, the desktop still had energy like it was "turned on" but it was just that, didnt felt responsive, so when i plugged the ups connector back in the power outlet, the pc booted from bios like i just turned it on, im guessing my system exceeded the limits of the UPS? even though i have a PSU of 500w white plus.

but when i tested it again, under idle, the battery responded as it should , and the desktop was still on same as monitor.
