Hello there! I'm trying to upgrade my little frind here and that's what i have now:

CPU: i5 750
Mobo: MS-7616
RAM: 6GB DDR3 1333MHz
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 750 OC 2GB GDDR5
PSU: Tacens Mars MP600 600W
Storage: 1TB HDD + 120GB SSD Kingston

Some things are getting pretty old by now and i want to change them now i have earned some money. I was going to by a FX8350 for 180-190€ in my town. I now i can get a better deal in some internet shops but the thing is the shipping costs make the finel price even worst so is not really worth the pain to order it online. I was going to pair that 8350 with a Gigabyte GA-990FXA-UD3 R5, a Arctic Freezer 13 and 8GB (or 16GB) of DDR3 1886 MHz RAM.

The thing is that i met a guy who is selling me a i5 6600K for like 180€. He has all the tickets from the shop he bought it (the shops gives you 2 years warranty) and Intel's warranty and he has been using the CPU since january. I now is obviously a good deal for the money (a new i5 6600K worths like 250-260€ here), but is worth to buy a used CPU instead a new one for that money? Am i going to really notice a the difference (i'm planning to upgrade that GTX750 in a year or so)? If i buy that i5 from this guy i'm planning to get some DDR4 Ram (is around the same price as DDR3) and a mobo around 100-140€. Which one would you recommend?

Thanks for the help guys!

"but is worth to buy a used CPU instead a new one for that money?"

You are looking at an old hot FX-8350 and a beast i5-6600K. If your concern is gaming, the 6600K will blow any AMD CPU out of the water with no questions. Who cares if it's used? If it worked in his PC and he guarantees that it is in working condition, it's gonna work for 15-20 more years - it will become replaced again before it will die.

Yeah, that was i thought. the FX-8350 is already like 4 years old or so. About the working conditions, i thinks is perfect. It has only been used for 3-4 months and the guy is replacing it because hes going to buy an i7-6700K. He even told me that if i want it he's letting me trying it first in his PC and he would pull i out in front of me (it doesn't change much but i appreciate that). What mobo will you recommend for the i5? Is a 100-140€ range mobo and my PSU enough for a little bit of OC?

I am concerned about the PSU since I have NEVER heard of the brand. Can you send me a link to the website you will be buying parts from and I will find you both a mobo and PSU.

The PSU is from TACENS and is this one. Is not really a quality PSU like one from Corsair, but for the moment has worked fine. The OC is not really needed, i am going to feel the "jump" from the old 750 even if is working at default frequency. You can check prices here. If you don't now spanish you can go to the right up corner where it says "Ordenar:" and click "Precio" so they will be listed according to the price. Where i live the prices could be higher (even 30€ more) so i would be really grateful if you list more than one so i could choose in case one of them have and absourdly higher price. Thank you!
