Everything works like a dream. I'm going to go outside and break something, the maybe see a psychiatrist later. Don't forget your cables kids. Sorry about wasting your time over a cable derp, I could've sworn there never was a cable connected there. Btw chrome seems to not have the security certificates anymore, any way to fix this?
Well, I should have brought that up earlier more sternly, but when someone says all cables hooked up etc as before, you kind of hate to tell them check again

I didn't want to offend you and you'd been through a LOT of stuff. Glad it got you looking at them all though

Funny thing, in the manual (where I saw the mention of the 8pin and location) it doesn't say it's a 4pin etc, but yes that stops a boot as some 12v that is required is missing then. You can always convert something to whatever you're missing though (just a note for future ref). Most of the time for $5 at newegg/amazon etc or whatever your local online store is. I'd hate to see you return the PSU, but whatever you need to do

Run furmark with prime95 or something to make sure your OLD psu can handle things pegged 100% before you send back the new unit which is FULLY geared towards new hardware that aims at 12v over 3.3/5v. Just a suggestion before you cut and run on the RMA for the NEW one.
Feel free to break something for both of us but I'm still pretty happy getting a resolution no matter how it comes, you're fixed up

...But hey, you will not do this again and surely will check the crap out of cables/connections to your board. So lesson learned
😉 Not sure how you pick a post for the solution here...LOL. It's not always going to be a 10sec fix with the person helping being blind so to speak. Maybe I should request a shot of the inside of the box from now on...LOL. I would have seen the missing plug or any other strange stuff as if being there with you. A few pics are worth what do we have here, 10,000-20000 words? ROFL
I have to bug out for a bit, but I'll think about the cert question later if not resolved by then. Might want to start a new thread for that. I don't use chrome unless firefox (which I like lots of control over) pukes and forces me too.
No need to apologize for learning something. I don't feel we wasted our time here and surely someone learns from the length of the troubleshooting and the eventual fix.

A good troubleshooting skill-set can't be beaten very often. WE WIN here right no matter how long it took?
Screw the psychiatrist (you'll get nothing from them), just buy a new piece of hardware you want to make you happy again...ROFL. Same price, more enjoyment
