New games have broken graphics, flashes on screens, black annoying boxes popping up,etc

It doesn't always happen, usually just on newer, more intesive games. I have a 1070 graphics card, SSD, i7, all the newest things and I'm not sure why this is happening.

Underclock the memory on the GPU by 50-100, and see what happens, looks like a memory fault to me, could possibly be cable related bit i've never seen a cable fault that wasn't just a black screen.
