So I started a build today, wore the wristband, did the whole process, power cables to cpu, mobo, gpu, hard drives, etc, pushed in ram and gpu well, and everything looks well. (maybe theres an elusive cable i missed). My external build's fans worked well, I dont think my beep sounded. When everything was in case, and booted hooked up to monitor via vga and audio cable, no output signal was detected because there wasn't anything on screen, nor any beeps.

Specs:
i5 4670k
enermax hoplite st case
1 tb caviar blue WD
nice cheap optical drive
hisq radeon 7870 2gb gpu
xfx 550Wpro
MSI z87 G41
Corsair Vengeance 2x4 8Gb DDr3

Please any tips recommendations on what to check would greatly help me.

ps. I heard somewhere online that if thers no beep, then the cpu is dead?! Please tell me theres something else?

Check the CPU, Make sure you placed it correctly, Also check to make sure there's no bent pins.

Ichecked, and the socket (lga1150) looked good, no damage, the bents look bent if you look at and angle (scared the sh*t out of me) but when I looked straight down, they all seemed to be in order.. Any other possible sources of failure perhapes a cable? Btw my little speaker thing by the power switch doesnt make noises?

So I uninstalled gpu and cleared cmos by shorting two pins, turns out that when I dont have gpu installed, I cann access the bios screen, when I install and put in the gpu, the monitor says no VGA inpuy, BUT, fans and lighta are on. Could it be that uses too much powr? Even though I checked wattage compatibility, again I have a His q r add eon 7870 2GB, and xfx 550w psu
Please help

I don't know if you have this but on the back of your case, under the power button and above the power cord I have a switch, I can adjust how much power I'm using. If you have that let me know. Could you run the On-board graphics? Run it with the card out of the Computer. If you can access that then I would install all of the latest drivers. But 1st let me know if you can get to the windows.

I connected vga to a dvi port with adapter, entered BIOS, just that whats the purpose of the speaker connector on the system panel (bot right) if that thing doesnt make the beep noises? can I disconnect?
