Sorry, I'm new here and I just wanted o get some input on some things. I'm going to build a new PC, because mine is ancient! Anyhow.. this is what I have selected thus far:

Case: Corsair Carbide 400r
(mainly because of the removable panel on BOTH sides as well as the cutout for installing a cooler) I haven't seen that on any other mid tower before. I'm not sure about how good the airflow is tho. Also.. It looks as tho it'll fit the cooler w/o issue.

CPU: Intel 3570K
MOBO: MSI Z77A G45 (the black and red one)
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo
Western Digital Caviar blue 1tb
Samsung 840 or 840 evo (haven't decided, input? :) ) (120gb)

1). Now this is where I need some input. Pretty sure going to go with the EVGA GTX 760 SC 2gb.. but If there is a better EVGA card out there, for the same price or cheaper, let me know! :)

2). PSU: I have been trying to find the best one possible for under $100. I have almost narrowed it down to 2.. this one? : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341051
I love the full modular part of it, plus the 30amps needed for power hungry cards. Now the other is this:

I like the 80plus gold certified on it and it has 5 eggs. BUT NOT MODULAR!
If there is better than these out there, let me know!

3). RAM: (8gb) I have gone back and forth on brand MHz, and all that. I'm leaning towards Kingston Hyper X Black (1600mhz). For 1.. it's cheap! ($55). For two.. I won't have to worry about the cooler master getting in the way if I added 2 more sticks. I'd like to stick with Either Gskill, Kingston, Corsair. Budget on RAM is $75-$80 MAX! I wasn't trying to go over $1000, but I'm picky.. so looks like total I'm looking at $1200. If there's anything else to be recommended, changed feel free to type it out :) Thanks all!

Another reason I did NOT go ahead and get 16gb of ram is to save $. I will upgrade that later too.

Yes it's the TX. They have a modular one too.. obviously more $. If I start hearing bad things about a 4gb card.. I'll get the 2gb one. And since Windows 8 pro I have on my current PC is so damn vram hungry-If I decide to keep windows 8.. then I'll need all the vram I can get. When I was getting a BSOD a lot (32 crashes to be exact) It was the combo of Windows 8 taking up all my vram and some of the newer drivers that was causing the crashes. Haven't had a crash in a week since I rid of some of the windows thins and used some older drivers.. which mind you.. does not affect my gameplay 1 bit :)

I 100% agree. But it was. With the OS mainly geared towards the touch screen market.... I can understand. I only got it because when I saw a friend had the evaluation copy last year on his laptop, I was amazed on how fast it booted up from a cold start. But since I'll be upgrading everything and using an SSD with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, I won't have to worry about it anyways :). Nothing else, really, has impressed me with windows 8.
