Hi, I recently got a new gaming laptop and have been troubled about something. Every once In a while while playing CSGO my laptop crashes and gets a BSOD (machine_check_exception). Csgo is the only game I currently have so I can't be testing with other games and I've tested the ram using the default windows test. I have an I7 5700hq and a gtx 970m. Any help is appreciated.if this is in the wrong spot sorry I didn't know where to post it.

This is a bit of a needle in the hay situation.

How is the heat of the laptop? Make sure you don't have the laptop on any soft underground, such as bed or pillow.
Also, have you updated all drivers? Graphics card, motherboard, sound etc.?
If you still have warranty, I would send it back, saying you get a bluescreen after a while, after all a blue screen could really be a hardware issue.

I have updated all the drivers and the temps never get more then 77C according to msi afterburner.thanks for the responses. I'll check with msi support and see what they say about the warranty.

I've already reset it before because it came with a windows 10 bug. I would prefer not to reset it as I've already download a lot of my stuff on it and don't want to do so again because of my bandwidth cap. I'm going to download skyrim tonight and see if the issue still occurs, as I've heard it could be a problem with the csgo download.
